"Turmoil at embattled National Express, not only in the boardroom but also amongst those managing the London – Norwich line. This week the breakdown of rolling stock resulted in cancellations of the 0655 hours from Norwich; the 1800 hours from Liverpool Street had to be mended before it could get off the platform, and despite requests from the staff on the train to hold the Cambridge service at Ipswich so that passengers could continue their journey on that line, this was refused. The stopping train to Cambridge then further delayed the 1800 from Ipswich onwards.
All this illustrates incompetence and inability in the maintenance and traffic management departments; why are these people still employed? Where is the dedication to running an efficient and properly managed service?"
